Péguy Makanda Luyindula (born June 25, 1979 in Kinshasa , Zaire ) is a former French football player .
Career
society
The striker began his career in 1997 with Chamois Niort in the French second division. After one season he moved to Ligue 1 for Racing Strasbourg , for which he played for the next three years. In 2001, his last season with Racing, he won the French Cup with the club . From 2001 to 2004 Luyindula played for Olympique Lyon and was three times French champion with the club. Luyindula moved from Lyon to Olympique Marseille in 2004 for eleven million euros , but was loaned to AJ Auxerre for a year after one season . For the 2006/07 season he was back in OM's squad , but was loaned out again for a year, this time to Spain to Levante UD . In the summer of 2007 he moved to Paris Saint-Germain . He played there until the end of 2012, but was rarely used in the first team under coach Ancelotti , rather he moved to the New York Red Bulls in March 2013 .
National team
With the French U-21 selection, he became Vice European Champion in 2002. In 2004 he played for the French senior team for the first time . Luyindula measures 178 cm and is right-footed.
