Christopher Emanuel Mamengi (born April 3, 2001 in Amersfoort ) is a Dutch football player with Angolan roots.

He has played for FC Utrecht since his youth and is a young Dutch national player.

Career

Christopher Mamengi started playing football in his hometown of Amersfoort at CJVV , before moving to the youth academy of FC Utrecht via Roda '46 in the neighboring town of Leisden . In the 2016/17 season he played seven games in the B-Junior Eredivisie (one goal), the following season he played six times in the preliminary round. In the 2018/19 season , Christopher Mamengi made his debut for the second team in the second highest Dutch division on October 22, 2018, when he won a 1: 1 after two appearances for the A-Youth (U19) in the preliminary round A-Juniors Eredivisie . 6 defeat in the home game against FC Twente in the starting line-up. In April 2019, he signed a contract with a term until 2023, which can be extended for another year with an option. At the end of the season, Christopher Mamengi had 19 missions. On August 19, 2019, he scored his first goal for the second team in a 2-1 win against TOP Oss .

National team

Christopher Mamengi completed two missions for the Dutch U16 national team and took part in the 2018 European Championship in England with the U17 . During the tournament he was used in all five games of his team and was able to celebrate the title win in the end. Mamengi made nine appearances for the U17 national team. In the following years he made four appearances for the Dutch U18 and was nominated by coach Maarten Stekelenburg for the squad of the Dutch U19 national team for the test matches against Italy and Portugal at the end of August 2019 .
