The Kniksenprisen is an annual award in Norwegian football . The award is given by Norsk Toppfotball (NTF), the organization of the first ( elite series ) and second division clubs ( 1st division ), and Norges Fotballforbund (NFF).

The award was named after Roald Jensen or his nickname Kniksen . Jensen was the youngest player ever to have played 25 caps for Norway.

The main award "Årets Kniksen" was given from 1990 to 2013. Record winners are Rune Bratseth and John Carew with three titles each . The German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen had the most winners thanks to Bratseth's awards.

In 2014 Kniksenprisen and Årets Kniksen were replaced by the Gullballen (German Golden Ball ). The honor kniksen was initially only awarded when necessary; since the change in the award rules it is now awarded annually.
