Martin Haar 1982

Martin Haar (born May 2, 1952 in Zwolle ) is a Dutch football player and coach.

Career

The defender played for the Go Ahead Eagles (1971–1977), HFC Haarlem (1977–1983), AZ Alkmaar (1983–1986), HFC Haarlem (1986–1988), Sparta Rotterdam (1988–1989) and FC Wageningen (1989). He celebrated his greatest success as a regular at Haarlem in the 1981/82 season , when the club qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time in its history . In 1982 he was the first winner of the Golden Shoe and thus Dutch footballer of the year.

After his active time as a player, he hit the coaching career. Under Louis van Gaal he was assistant coach at AZ Alkmaar and won the Dutch championship in 2008/09 . After Van Gaal moved to FC Bayern Munich , Haar remained assistant to his successor Ronald Koeman and took over the team's training after his dismissal in December 2009.
