The Šušvė is a 134.6 km long river in Lithuania . It rises near Tytuvėnai in the Tytuvėnų tyrelis bog, which has been destroyed by peat cutting , flows first in a northerly direction, then bends to the east and then turns to the southeast after passing the Sulinkiai bog. It flows into the Nevėžis on the right . The largest place on the river is Josvainiai with about 1500 inhabitants.

The Šušvė is dammed at Vaitiekūnai and Angiriai. At Pilsupiai there is a little-known arboretum at the last-mentioned reservoir, but one that is highly valued by dendrologists .

The catchment area is given with 1165.4 km², the mean discharge with 6.22 m³ / s.
