Źeljko Janjetović (born June 8, 1963 in Senitza ) is a Bosnian diplomat .

Life

He completed elementary school and high school in Senitza. He studied law at the University of Sarajevo and obtained a master's degree in economics in Banja Luka , where he also worked as a doctoral candidate. Janjetović worked at the City Court and for the Public Prosecutor's Office in Prijedor . In addition, he worked for the security authorities and the Interior Ministry of the Republika Srpska, which is part of Bosnia-Herzegovina . He became deputy interior minister of the republic.

In 2002 he became ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India . Additional accreditations existed for Bangladesh , Nepal and Sri Lanka . From 2008 to 2011 he worked as an ambassador in Russia with further accreditations in Armenia , Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan , Uzbekistan and Belarus . From 2012 to 2015 he was ambassador to Hungary as well as to Moldova and Ukraine .

On September 23, 2015, he took over the office of ambassador to Germany based in Berlin .

Źeljko Janjetović is married and has two children.
