The Żar (German: Feuerberg ) is a mountain in Poland . With a height of 761 m, it is one of the higher mountains in the Lesser Beskids . The mountain is a popular tourist destination with many views of the neighboring mountains and the lowlands. It belongs to the municipality of Międzybrodzie Bialskie .

Below the western slope of the mountain is the breakthrough of the Soła through the Little Beskids, which was flooded here in the Jezioro Międzybrodzkie reservoir .

The Jezioro Żar reservoir is located at the top .

Its name suggests that the alpine pastures on its slopes were obtained by slash and burn. The name Żar can be found very often throughout the Beskydy Mountains .
