Željko Samardžić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Жељко Самарџић , born October 3, 1955 in Mostar ) is a well-known Bosnian singer in the former Yugoslavia . Today he lives and works in Belgrade .

biography

Željko Samardžić was born in the Herzegovinian city ​​of Mostar . His father is Montenegrin, his mother a Bosnian Serb from Ilici / Mostar. In Mostar Samardžić was known as a good imitator of the folk singer Kemal Monteno . When the Yugoslav Wars broke out in 1991 , he fled first to Montenegro and later to Belgrade . During this time he made his living by singing in discos and coffee houses. Some businessmen discovered him and financed him an album with Marina Tucaković and Aleksandar Radulović . At the “Pjesma Meditarana” festival in Budva , he sang Sipajte mi još jedan viski ( Pour me another whiskey) and thus started his musical career.
