Žuti Kamen ( Albanian  Gur i kuq ) is a mountain in the Prokletije Mountains in Kosovo . The peak is 2,522 meters high, making Žuti came one of the highest mountains in the region.

Geography and climate

The Žuti Kamen is located south of the Rugova Gorge . There is a small lake nearby. The region is influenced by both the Mediterranean and continental climates, which is why the summers are mostly dry and extremely hot, while the winters are very cold.

Origin of name

Žuti haben is Serbian and a literary name for "yellow stone". The Albanian translation, however, means "red stone".
