Žydrūnas Plytnikas

Žydrūnas Plytnikas (born June 19, 1971 in Alytus ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer, politician and Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Justice (since 2019).

Life

After graduating from high school from 1977 to 1989 at the 8th Alytus Middle School, Žydrūnas Plytnikas completed a bachelor's degree from 1990 to 1995 at the Lietuvos edukologijos universitetas . He became a history teacher and social worker . From 1999 to 2002 he completed the master's degree and in 2011 the bachelor's degree in law at the law faculty of the Mykolo Romerio universitetas (MRU).

From 2000 to 2007 he worked as a lawyer, deputy head and then head of a legal department at SoDra . From 2007 to 2009 he was a lawyer at UAB “Delamode”. In 2009 he was advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Economy of Lithuania . From 2010 to 2014 he headed the national authority for tenders . From 2008 he taught as a lecturer at the MRU.

From 2018 he was an advisor to the Minister of Justice. Since January 2019 he has been Vice Minister of Justice under the leadership of Minister Elvinas Jankevičius in the Skvernelis cabinet . Plytnikas is the successor to Eugenijus Šuliokas , who became advisor to the Minister of Justice in mid-January 2019.
