Ar is an Arabic letter , the part of the extended Arabic alphabet of Urdu is. It is derived from the Arabic letter Ra (ر) by adding a superscript Ṭa (ط).
The sound value in Urdu is a voiced retroflexer flap ( IPA : [ɽ]). The letter is one of the three retroflex consonants in Urdu that do not exist in Arabic and have therefore been added to the original Arabic alphabet.
