Stahl / Motor Aschersleben

1. FC Aschersleben was founded on April 30, 1951 under the name Stahl Aschersleben . As early as February 28, 1952, the BSG changed the carrier company and started out as BSG Motor Aschersleben . At the end of the 1950s, Motor Aschersleben began its sporting rise. In 1958 he was promoted to the Halle district league for the first time , from which Aschersleben rose to the 2nd GDR league two years later .

The opening season in the third-highest division of the GDR was also the most successful, with Aschersleben only four points behind the promoted Motor Dessau in fourth place. The BSG remained in the 2nd GDR League until it was dissolved. In the following years commuted Aschersleben to turn exclusively between district league and district class. Between 1965 and 1988 he was promoted to the district league five times, which one always had to leave immediately. It wasn't until 1990 that they were relegated for the first time. At the same time, they qualified for the new state league in the newly established state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Arminia Aschersleben and 1. FC Aschersleben

In 1990 the club changed its name to Arminia Aschersleben , but in 1993 it merged with local rivals Lokomotive Aschersleben to form 1. FC Aschersleben . The newly founded 1. FCA was quite successful on a sporting level and won the championship of the Saxony-Anhalt Football Association twice in 1994 and 1998 . In the associated promotion to the Northeast Football League , the club from Saxony-Anhalt was clearly shown its limits, and the FCA, with Halleschen FC and the second representation of FC Carl Zeiss Jena, immediately returned to the Association League. The club held the association league until 2001, but then sank very quickly in local lowlands. In 2006/07 the national class had to be given up without a fight. After a new start in 2007 in the Salzland regional league, the club became champions of the Salzland regional league in 2009 and rose to the Sachsen-Anhalt regional league after marching through the regional league in 2010, but was only able to stay there for one season. Due to the liquidation of the club, the men's teams and all junior teams were withdrawn from the game after the 2010/11 season.
