action

The film is set as a science fiction film in 2040. Sexually transmitted diseases have become so virulent and widespread that sex with another human being is synonymous with suicide. Masturbation is the only "socially acceptable" way to have sex and it means sexual liberation. As a result of this development, the porn industry has become one of the largest industries in the country. Since porn actors are also at risk, human actors work with sex robots that look, sound and have sex like humans, the so-called "anabots".

Real Doll Incorporated is the market leader in the industry and is led by the tyrannical CEO Duncan Caldwell. The company produces male and female anabots and sells or leases them to the major studios for porn productions. The robots do not have feelings like real people and have no experience, sadness or joy. Instead, they are used exclusively for sex services and filming.

Morris Lanning, one of the company's disgruntled former engineers, is able to develop anabots with feelings and experience emotions like love. He creates a prototype called Mira. When an anabot short-circuited during a porn movie in a scene with actor Ryan Spears, Mira is used and Spears is able to get to know the new programming.

Brad Armstrong later hears of Lanning's breakthrough and treats the incident as industrial espionage. He strives to destroy Lanning and get Mira and her programming in his possession.
