history
25 Ta Life was founded in 1992 by Rick Healey called Rick Ta Life , a former roadie of Agnostic Front , founded. In 1993 the demo NYHC was released . In 1994 a single followed on the label Striving for Togetherness Records. In 1995, Keepin 'It Real was the first EP on the German hardcore label We Bite Records . It contains six songs, one of which was already heard on the demo. In 1997 the second EP Strength Through Unity was released . In 1998 a split was released with Morning Again on Good Life Recordings , and another with Skarhead under the name Make it Work on Triple Crown Records , before the album Friendship, Loyalty, Commitment in 1999 on the Good label Life Recordings followed.
After seven years and many tours around the world, it was quiet around 25 Ta Life in 1999. In 2002 Best of Friends / Enemies was released through The Age of Venus Records . In 2004, a live recording of the 1999 Japan tour was released under the name Live At Few Da Real on Back Ta Basics Records. In the summer of 2005, the second album Hellbound Misery Torment was released. In 2006 the CD Haterz Be Damned was released , which contains the tracks of the split singles with slang and spazz , the songs of the New York Hardcore 2 compilation , the complete Keepin It Real , the best of friends / enemies and some unreleased tracks. In the same year the EP Fallen Angel was released on the Berlin hardcore label Superhero Records , which Rick Ta Lifes dedicated to a deceased friend Archie. In 2009 the album Strength, Integrity, Brotherhood followed via Back Ta Basics Records.
style
On Strength Through Unity , the band played classic New York hardcore punk, with the guitar riffs alternating between slow and fast passages and the use of double bass being characteristic. On Best of Friends / Enemies the band played classic hardcore punk, which, however, was extremely poorly produced even for the genre conditions. In addition to the typical hardcore punk elements, numerous metal influences were also audible on Fallen Angel . This trend of drawing in influences from Metal was to continue on the album Strength, Integrity, Brotherhood .
