The 29th Bavarian Theater Days took place from May 24th to June 11th 2011 in Bamberg , which was the fifth time since 1984, 1992, 1999 and 2005 to host the largest Bavarian theater festival . At that time, Bamberg was the most frequent venue for the Bavarian Theater Days .

A total of 27 different stages from all over Bavaria performed productions of all kinds as part of the 29th Bavarian Theatertage 2011. The main venues were the Great House and the studio of the ETA Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg, some productions were performed in other locations.
