The 34th Bavarian Theater Days took place from May 28 to June 10, 2016 at the Regensburg Theater under the motto Wildes Bayern (festival mascot Bugs Bühny ), which was the fourth time since 1988, 2004 and 2010 to host the largest Bavarian theater festival . With almost 14,000 visitors, the occupancy rate was around 78 percent.

A total of 31 different stages from all over Bavaria (as well as the Opera Studio and the Bavarian State Ballet II of the Bavarian State Opera, the Theater Academy August Everding and the Academy for Performing Arts Bavaria) performed a total of 55 productions of all kinds as part of the 34th Bavarian Theater Days 2016.

The theater on Bismarckplatz, the Theater on Haidplatz and the Velodrom were the main venues. The theater days ended on June 10, 2016.
