2MASS J15472723 + 0336361 is a brown dwarf in the constellation Snake, about 300 light-years from Earth . It was founded in 2002 by Suzanne L. Hawley et al. discovered.
It belongs to the spectral class L2; its surface temperature is 1300 to 2000 Kelvin . As with other brown dwarfs of the spectral class L, metal hydrides and alkali metals also dominate in its spectrum . Its position shifts by 0.08157 arc seconds annually due to its own motion .
