2 Brothers on the 4 th floor is a Dutch Euro Dance project, which ended in the 1990s, especially in their home country some major hits.

biography

The band was founded by the two brothers and music producers Bobby and Martin Boer . With the single Can not Help Myself 2 Brothers on the 4 could th place their first hit in the Dutch charts Floor 1990th When performing live, the two brothers initially strengthened themselves with rapper Da Smooth Baron MC and singers Peggy “The Duchess” and Gale Robinson. In 1991 the rapper D-Rock and the singer Des'ray joined the band as replacements. The project remained in this line-up until its dissolution.

The biggest success of her career managed the 2 Brothers on the 4 th Floor 1994 with the single Dreams (Will Come Alive) . It reached number 1 in the charts in the Netherlands and also opened the way for the two brothers to the German charts after the previous single Never Alone failed to make it. The singles Never Alone , Dreams (Will Come Alive) and Come Take My Hand were later used again in the series New Kids and in the films New Kids Turbo and New Kids Nitro .

In the following years there were a few more small hits. From 1998 the group's success slowly declined. In 2002 the band broke up.

Since the spring of 2008, Desray (Desiree Manders) and D-Rock (Renee Phillips) have been performing again primarily in the context of revival shows. However, this comeback has not yet been linked to a new release . In March 2010, Best of 2 Brothers appeared on the 4th Floor , a compilation of the act's most successful songs.
