2gether was a US - Canadian television series that first aired in the US in August 2000 on MTV . In Germany, the series was also shown on MTV from 2002 .
The series is the continuation of the MTV film of the same name, 2gether .
content
The series is about the fictional boy band 2gether , mainly real boy bands satirizes . The boy group is clichéd made up of five different members.
Members
- Jason 'QT' Todd Mc Knight is the cutie . He is the youngest and most inexperienced in the band, so everyone else shows him off. He has an incurable disease, which he prefers to talk about at parties - with the addition of soon to die.
- Michael 'Mickey' Alexander Parke Jr. is the rebel . He's a macho who shows off his fictional female stories. He is often mistaken for homosexual . He has a quick-tempered temper and drives others crazy. But in reality he's a real wimp .
- Gerald 'Jerry' Rictus O'Keefe is the heartbreaker . He is the front man of the band, but suffers a lot from not being able to see his great love Erin. Because he has to maintain the appearance of a single existence for his fans.
- Chadwin 'Chad' Caligula Linus is the shy one . He is very naive and suffers from stage fright. His exercise audience is therefore his stuffed animals, without which he cannot sleep. He's also a huge Star Wars fan. He has been dependent on his older brother Doug since the death of his parents. He is the youngest of 18 siblings (the other 17 are aged 34 to 49).
- Dougland 'Doug' Tiberius Linus is the older brother . He is the older brother of Chad and at 34 years of age doesn't really belong to the target group anymore. Even if the record company would rather swap him for a younger one, the band sticks with him as the strongest link. He is a great support especially for his little brother Chad, even if he sees himself as a loser after being abandoned by his wife for a dentist.

- The series had to be discontinued after the second season because one of the leading actors, Michael Cuccione , died in January 2001 due to lung failure. In the last part of the second season he was played by another actor, who only appeared in a protective suit.
