Rose Cleveland
Rose Elizabeth Cleveland (born June 13, 1846 in Fayetteville , New York , † November 22, 1918 in Bagni di Lucca ) was the sister of US President Grover Cleveland , who held the office of President twice. The first time (1885-1886) Rose Cleveland was the first lady of the United States at the beginning of the tenure.
After her brother married Frances Cleveland on June 2, 1886 , she gave up her position as First Lady to the latter and began a career as a teacher. Rose Cleveland died of the Spanish flu in Bagni di Lucca .
