Ida Saxton McKinley (born June 8, 1847 in Canton , Ohio ; † May 26, 1907 there ) was the wife of the 25th US President William McKinley and the First Lady of the United States from 1897 to 1901.

Ida McKinley was the daughter of James Asbury Saxton (born May 1, 1816 in Canton; † March 16, 1887) and Katherine Dewalt (born August 18, 1827; † March 14, 1873). The two had married in 1846. Ida's paternal grandfather, John Saxton, founded the Ohio daily Repository in 1815 .

Ida was the oldest of three children. Her siblings were Mary Belinda Saxton Barber (1848-1917) and George Dewalt Saxton (1849-1898).

William McKinley and Ida Saxton married on January 25, 1871. The marriage had two daughters who both died in childhood: Katherine (1871–1875) and Ida (1873–1873).

After the assassination of William, Ida returned to Canton. Her younger sister took care of her from then on.

Her funeral was attended by Theodore Roosevelt , among others . Ida was buried at the side of her husband and two daughters in Canton's McKinley Memorial Mausoleum.
