The 303rd Infantry Division was a German infantry division during World War II .

Division history

The division, also known as Döberitz Infantry Division , was formed on January 31, 1945 at the Döberitz military training area near Berlin as an alarm unit for Military District III from the staff of the division zbV 611, which had been formed shortly before ; the combat units of this division came to division zbV 615; set up. The division was deployed in March on the Oder front near Küstrin and later as part of the 9th Army in the Battle of Berlin , including the Battle of the Seelow Heights . In April 1945 the division was broken up in the Halbe pocket.
