A residential building is located at 3 South Street in the Scottish town of St Andrews , Council Area Fife . In 1959 the building was included as an individual monument in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

The residential building dates from the 16th or 17th century. In the course of a building history study in 2014, indications of a previous structure were found at the site. Over the centuries, the building has been substantially redesigned.

The three-story apartment building is on the north side of South Street ( A918 ) in the historic center of St Andrews, not far from the ruins of St Andrews Cathedral . Right joins The Roundel on.

Its south-facing quarry stone facade is three axes wide. The original building openings were bordered with profiles and are now partially closed with masonry. The rooms on the ground floor close with vaulted ceilings . The slate roof is designed with stepped gables .
