6th Air Force Field Division

The 6th Air Force Field Division was a military association of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. It was set up in September 1942 from excess Luftwaffe personnel on the Groß Born military training area in Pomerania and was used on the German-Soviet front from January 1943 to August 1944 . After being almost completely wiped out during the fighting in the area south of Vitebsk in Russia , the division was finally disbanded in August 1944.
