20th Air Force Field Division

The 20th Air Force Field Division was a military association of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War . It was erected on March 1, 1943 from excess Luftwaffe personnel at the Munster military training area in Lower Saxony and was used on Jutland in Denmark from April 1943 to May 1944 . On June 1, 1944, the division was renamed the 20th Luftwaffen-Sturm-Division and moved to Central Italy . Here the unit was almost completely wiped out in September 1944 and disbanded on November 28, 1944.
