666 (band)

666 is a German Eurodance / Trance project by the two DJs and music producers Thomas Detert and Mike Griesheimer (also known as DJ666, Mike Red). They reached some chart positions in Europe in the late 1990s and early 2000s .

history

666 was founded in 1997 by Thomas Detert and Mike Griesheimer, both of whom were previously part of the Activate Eurodance project . However, at performances themselves, a male (called Demon ) and two female dancers presented the band. With the first single Alarma! reached the German and Austrian single charts in 666 and was also able to place in the United Kingdom . This was followed by further single releases from her debut album Paradoxx , which were able to place in various single charts in Europe. The album Nitemare , released in 1999, was a remix album and includes remixes of songs contained on the Paradoxx album . With the single Devil released in 2000 , which was released on 666's third studio album Who's Afraid Of…? is a top 20 hit in the UK. In 2002 the single Supa-Dupa-Fly was released , which was included by Viva in their clip rotation and then also entered the charts.

666 had particular success in Scandinavia . In Sweden two studio albums and nine singles made it into the charts. Also received 666 for the single Paradoxx! a gold record . In Norway, 666 reached the top 10 with three singles, the debut album Paradoxx reached number 2 on the Norwegian album charts. In Finland, the band had a top 10 hit in 2005 with the single Policia .
