Dimensions of 9.3 × 64 mm

9.3 × 64 mm also known as 9.3 × 64 mm Brenneke is a rimless hunting cartridge . With a bullet diameter of 9.3 mm, it has a case length of 64 mm. The dimensions of the cartridge were chosen to fit in a standard Mauser 98 bolt action rifle system .

The 9.3 × 64 mm was completely redeveloped by the well-known weapons and ammunition manufacturer Wilhelm Brenneke and is therefore not based on an older cartridge or cartridge case. It was first presented in 1927. The cartridge's ballistic performance is close to that of the .375 Holland & Holland Magnum , although it is smaller and requires less powder.
