The cartridge 9 × 25 mm Mauser , also 9 mm Mauser or 9 mm Mauser Export, was in 1904 by DWM for Mauser - automatic pistol C96 developed.
history
For the export of the C96 to Africa, South America and Asia, a stronger cartridge than the 7.63 × 25 mm used in the C96 was desired. This was taken as the basis and the sleeve shoulder widened to 9 mm.
