reception
According to Funime magazine , the series was a failure. This is mainly attributed to the insufficient budget. The Anime Encyclopedia describes the series as disappointing. It deviated greatly from the earlier concept and the plot was instead created as a buddy film . In the choice of names in particular, it became clear that great attention was paid to international marketability during production.
