The AO Shirley Recreation Ground is a sports stadium in Road Town , British Virgin Islands . It offers space for up to 2,000 spectators.
Currently the stadium is mainly used for soccer games. Cricket matches also take place on the site . The first cricket match was played in July 1988 between a joint selection of the Virgin Islands and Nevis. On June 21, 1991, a match between the British Virgin Islands and Anguilla followed as part of the Leeward Islands Tournament 1991 . On February 22, 2002, Leeward Island and Windward Islands met in the Busta Cup ; it was the only first-class match so far at the AO Shirley Recreation Ground.
