Arlette Renee Morlan (born January 3, 1958 in Chicago , Illinois - † before January 6, 2016 in Ladysmith , Wisconsin ; found dead), known as AR Morlan , was an American writer of novels and short stories . She also wrote under the pen names Renee M. Charles and Ana Rose Morlan .

life and work

Morlan was born in Chicago and spent her childhood in Los Angeles from 1961 to 1969. She graduated from Mount Senario College in Ladysmith in 1980. Her first story, Four Days Before the Snow , was published in 1985. Other short stories and novels followed. On January 6, 2016, she was found dead in her home. The autopsy revealed that she had committed suicide.
