Christian Buchholz

Christian Buchholz (* 1966 in Hamburg ) is a German business economist and politician ( AfD ). Buchholz has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2016 .

Life

Education and professional career

Christian Buchholz was born in Hamburg in 1966. After an officer training, he studied business administration at the University of the Bundeswehr Hamburg , graduating in 1993 as a business graduate from. Buchholz served as a professional soldier in the German Armed Forces for twelve years . In addition, he worked temporarily in the Foreign Office , later he also worked as a management consultant and in the distribution and sale of border protection systems.

Political commitment

Buchholz belongs to the economically liberal wing of the AfD. He is a member of the Pankow district association and holds the office of treasurer there.

Buchholz ran the elections for the Berlin House of Representatives and the District Assembly (BVV) Pankow in September 2016. Buchholz complained about a “lack of security” for AfD members in Pankow, explaining that his face could not be seen in the newspaper or on election posters. At the assembly meeting for the state list, Buchholz won 27th place, and at the BVV election, he headed the district list.

Ultimately, he won a direct mandate for the House of Representatives in the Pankow 1 constituency in the elections with 22.4 percent and has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives in the AfD parliamentary group since then . He renounced his mandate in the BVV Pankow.
