The A955 in Leven

The A955 road is an A-road in the Scottish Council Area Fife .

At its west end, the A955 branches off from the A921 at a roundabout in the center of Kirkcaldy . Roughly following the course of the north coast of the Firth of Forth , the road leads through the eastern districts of Kirkcaldy and after roughly five kilometers reaches the hamlet of Coaltown of Wemyss . Continuing in a north-easterly direction, the A955 reaches East Wemyss and Buckhaven . It leads through Methil , crosses the Leven near the mouth and finally reaches the city of Leven . There it forms the main thoroughfare of the city center. The A955 leaves Leven in a north-easterly direction and joins the A915 at a roundabout on the northern edge of Leven .
