AB Banga was a radio equipment manufacturer in the second largest city in Lithuania , Kaunas . He produced televisions ("Šilelis" brand), radios, magnetic sound recorders and reproducers ( tape recorders ) and magnetophones . The company belonged to the Lithuanian group EBSW .

history

In 1956 the Kauno radijo fabrikas (KRF) factory was founded. In 1960 a baseball and soccer club was established (from 1993 FBK Kaunas ). From 1961 to 1970 there was the rugby club RC Banga Kaunas . In Soviet Lithuania , the factory became Kauno radijo gamykla (KRG) and in 1980 “Banga”. From 1967 to 1995 there was the internal weekly "Banga". In 1976 the "Silelis" television set was awarded a gold medal at the international trade fairs in Leipzig and Zagreb . Akcinė bendrovė "Banga" was registered on October 14, 1993 and privatized in 1993. "Banga" went bankrupt and in 1995 it was dissolved. After the bankruptcy, 12,000 employees were unemployed.
