Brandt in 1969/1970 by VE BMK Ingenieurhochbau Berlin. The building was inaugurated on June 11, 1971.

The complex consists of a ten-story high-rise and a low-rise building. The central image archive was housed in the adjacent low-rise building. The waffle facade of the low-rise building is characteristic of the building. In 2013 the building was extensively renovated and rebuilt.
