ALUMIL Milonas ( Greek ΑΛΟΥΜΥΛ Μυλωνάς ) is a public limited company based in Kilkis (45 km north of Thessaloniki in Central Macedonia ). The privately owned company is a leading manufacturer in the field of aluminum - extrusion .
Company history
ALUMIL was founded in 1988 and was one of the first private companies in Greece to have an aluminum extrusion line , which consisted of a 1,600 ton press with a capacity of 6,000 tons. In 1998 the company went public, the company is still family-run today, with Giorgos Mylonas as CEO.
The company invested in production and sales facilities in Southeastern Europe in the 1990s and 2000s. The establishment of a production facility in Turkey was postponed due to excessive market saturation, despite a preparation period of several years. Instead, the ordered systems were moved to a new Alumil facility in Iraq. In the future, this plant will take care of the supply of customers in the Middle East. In 2013, Alumil Fabrication Inc. in Chester, New York, was the first Alumil plant to be built on the American continent.

Sales rose to EUR 287.6 million in 2007 and then fell in the following years to EUR 172.2 million in 2014.
Locations in Greece
The company has several production facilities in Northern Greece: the industrial complex in Kilkis , extrusion plants in Xanthi and Komotini, and a factory for the manufacture of automation systems in the industrial area of Serres . These facilities have ten extrusion lines with a production capacity of more than 80,000 tons per year, as well as three systems for electrostatic coating with a capacity of 26,500 tons of painted profiles, a production system for cast aluminum parts, assembly lines for the manufacture of thermally insulated profiles, systems for special coatings, for the production of interior and security doors, for the production of roll-formed, foamed aluminum profiles, for the production of automation systems, for the production of aluminum panels and for the anodizing of profiles with a capacity of over 30,000 tons.

ALUMIL SA is the leading company of the ALUMIL Group, to which the following subsidiaries belong: ALOYSYS in Athens, INTERNO, ALUFOND, I.AL.NG, ALUNEF, ALUKOM in Komotini, METRON in Serres, ALUFIL and GA Plastics in Kilkis, and more foreign subsidiaries in Romania (ALUMIL ROM and ALUMIL EXTRUSION), Albania , Bulgaria , Poland , Ukraine , Egypt , Moldova , Germany , Macedonia (Skopje), Cyprus , Serbia , Italy , Bosnia and the United Arab Emirates .
ALUMIL has built up an extensive sales network in Western and Eastern Europe as well as in Africa and the Middle East. The export share is more than 60%.
Products
ALUMIL is the largest manufacturer of aluminum - semi-finished products in Greece . The company produces aluminum profile systems for architectural purposes such as doors, windows, facades, atriums and partition walls. ALUMIL also supplies industrial profiles that are manufactured according to customer requirements and are used in areas such as construction, transport, and mechanical and electronic applications.
