AS-Maya Bobo-Dioulasso is a football club from Bobo-Dioulasso , the second largest city in the West African state of Burkina Faso .
The club achieved its first promotion to the Première Division in 2009 after ten years of membership in the Deuxième Division. The former national player Rahim Ouédraogo is considered the main sponsor . President Mamadou Traoré announced his resignation at the promotion ceremony on January 31, 2010, because he would have achieved the goal he had set for himself.
