The ASV Burglengenfeld is a sports club from the Upper Palatinate town of Burglengenfeld (Schwandorf district).

history

The club was founded in 1945 as the legal successor to the Free Gymnastics and Sports Club, which was dissolved by the National Socialists in 1933. At first only football was played. Further departments were added in the following years: handball (1950), table tennis (1952), skiing (1955), weightlifting (1967), disabled sports (1968), women's gymnastics (1971), chess (1971), hiking (1972), bowling (1977), fistball (1980), tennis (1981), kickboxing (1987), judo (1994).

The club played eleven seasons between 1971 and 1985 in the then fourth-rate Bavarian national soccer league . The qualification for the main round of the DFB Cup was achieved three times.

In the 2014/15 season , qualification for the Bayern League was achieved through relegation. However, since 2016 they have been playing in the national league again.
