The AXA Center is a skyscraper in New York City that was completed in 1986 .

The building is 229 meters tall and has 54 floors, making it the 42 tallest building in New York City (as of 2019). Construction work began in 1985 and was completed after just one year. The office Edward Larrabee Barnes Associates designed the office tower, located in Midtown Manhattan between 52nd and 53rd Street at Seventh Avenue is located. Architecturally, it is characterized by its angular shapes and its recesses on the facade. On the roof there is a conspicuous rectangular structure that has almost no windows.

There is also a restaurant and fitness center in the building. Otherwise the building is not open to the public.

Helicopter crash

On June 10, 2019, a helicopter crashed while attempting an emergency landing on the roof of the building. The pilot died in the accident.
