A Breath Before Surfacing was an American deathcore band from Tucson , Arizona that formed in 2006 and split again in 2009.
history
The band was formed in 2006 by singer Dustin Curtis, guitarist Scott Whisenant and drummer Trevor Gunning. The following year the band recorded their first demo. Thereby they got a contract with Mediaskare Records . Guitarist Jacob Green also joined the band. The band went into the studio with producer Zack ears ( All Shall Perish , As Blood Runs Black ). In the summer of 2008 the first and only album Death is Swallowed in Victory was released on the label. As a result, the band held a tour, but it was canceled when Jacob Green left. In 2009 the band broke up.
style
The band plays technically demanding deathcore, comparing them to Job for a Cowboy . The alternating high and low shouts are particularly characteristic.
