A Thorn for Every Heart is a rock band from Chino Hills in California ( USA ), which is also classified as post-hardcore .

history

The band played the Warped Tour in 2005 and several concerts in 2006 as the opening act for A Static Lullaby .

Songs like 99 With an Anchor and "Summer So Bleak" are still the band's biggest hits to this day. The cover of the 1970s classic Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo is still cited as the best of the band to this day.

The band currently has no record deal, as Kickball Records, a sub-label of Interscope Records , has been dissolved. On March 21, 2009, the band announced that they were on hiatus for an indefinite period of time.

The members Kelvin Cruz and Justin Powell formed a new band in October 2009 called "Come On, Come On".

style

The band mixes strong pop influences with rocking, experimental - but still straightforward - post-hardcore. With the album It's hard to move you , however, the tendency is moving away from post-hardcore towards mass-compatible alternative rock . The band is often associated with emocore in the early days .
