A Static Lullaby was a post-hardcore band that formed in 2001 in Chino Hills , California . In 2012 the band split up due to new projects by the band members.

Band history

A Static Lullaby formed in 2001 after a rehearsal at their high school . Just two weeks later they played in front of an audience for the first time. Within a very short time they made such a big name for themselves locally that they released their EP Withered under their own direction just a few months after their founding . Because of this EP, the record companies became aware of "A Static Lullaby", so that they signed a contract with Ferret Records in the summer of 2002 . As a result, their first major label album ... And Don't Forget To Breathe was released in March 2003 , which was produced by Steve Evetts, who has already worked for bands like Sepultura and Story of the Year .

After an 18-month tour with bands like AFI , My Chemical Romance and Brand New , they signed a record deal with Columbia Records for their second album, Faso Latido . This was published in April 2005. Due to the restrained success, this should have been her last for Columbia.

A little later, the then bassist Phil Pirrone was involved in a serious traffic accident, whereupon he left the band with Nate Lindeman (guitar) to form his own band Casket Salesmen .

Together with the two new ones, John Martinez (guitar) and Dane Poppin (bass), A Static Lullaby made a kind of U-turn on Fearless Records for their third, self-titled album. In contrast to its two predecessors, the sound of the album, which was released in 2007, has now become harder and the shoutings more frequent.

Her latest album Rattlesnake! was released on September 9, 2008. In early 2009 they recorded the music video for the Britney Spears cover "Toxic", which was published on the Internet a short time later. On January 10, 2012, Dan Arnold announced on his Facebook page that the band would split up.
