Ferret Music
Ferret Music is an independent label that mainly releases metalcore and post-hardcore albums. It was founded in 1996 in New Brunswick , New Jersey and is owned in part by Nora singer Carl Severson.
Warner Music Group bought a share in August 2006, although according to the contract, the albums will be distributed through Sony BMG's RED Distribution until 2009.
On September 12, 2007, Ferret joined the rising Death Metal / Metalcore label from Great Britain , Siege of Amida Records (SOAR), although SOAR retains the rights to the published material.
Ferret Music also takes over the marketing of albums on the Nuclear Blast label , which do not have the rights to distribute music in the USA.
