history
The band was founded in 2002 by singer Paul Hamblin, guitarist Josh Williammee and Brian Van Gelder, drummer Graham Mitchell and bassist Karl Janovec.
Guitarist Brian Van Gelder left the band in 2003 and was replaced by Nate Golia, who came from near Rochester (New York) and previously played in the band Warblade.
In the middle of 2003 the band had a little tour with the Screamo band Shadows and the Silence from Virginia . The bassist of this band, Dominic Mastronunzio, came from Bath and replaced Karl Janovec in the summer of the next year. On a three-week tour with With Resistance of New Jersey The Red Death came with Metal Blade Records together and signed in autumn 2004 a record deal. After that the band had tours all over the USA with other artists like From a Second Story Window , The Acacia Strain , Undying , Through the Eyes of the Dead and Accursed Dawn .
Guitarist Nate Golia left the band to concentrate on school. He was replaced by Aaron Conti (Ex- If Hope Dies ). The latest line-up change is bassist Jordan Rathbun, who replaces Dominic Mastronunzio.
