A Life Once Lost ( ALOL for short ) was a metalcore band that was formed in 1999 in the suburbs of Philadelphia , Pennsylvania .

history

The band released their debut album Open Your Mouth For The Speechless ... In Case Of Those Appointed To Die in 2000 . Shortly afterwards they were left by guitarist Vadim Traver, who was replaced by Robert Carpenter. Two years later they released their second studio album, The Fourth Plague: Flies . Again shortly afterwards a member left the band. This time it was drummer TJ de Blois who left the band followed by Alin Ashraf. With the new drummer Justin Graves and the new bassist Nick Frasca, they made their breakthrough in 2003 with the album A Great Artist . The next album Hunter followed in 2005 . In the meantime they have already toured the USA with bands such as Lamb of God , If Hope Dies , As I Lay Dying , The Red Chord , Fear Factory and Twelve Tribes . In January 2007 they re-released A Great Artist , but were already working on their next album Iron Gag , which came out in September of the same year. Shortly afterwards they accompanied the band The Dillinger Escape Plan .

On July 12, 2013, the band announced their breakup.
