Misery Signals is an American metalcore band from Milwaukee , Wisconsin . They are known in the scene for their melodic riffs and progressive elements.

history

In 2002 , the previous band 7 Angels 7 Plagues dissolved and re-formed with the former singer of the band Compromise , Jesse Zaraska, under the name Misery Signals and recorded an EP of the same name . After a few line-up changes, they got a record deal with Ferret Music . There their first album Of Malice and the Magnum Heart was released, which was produced by Strapping Young Lad singer Devin Townsend . After several tours, singer Jesse Zaraska left the band to devote himself to other projects. The band decided to put a piece of music without vocals on their web presence on Myspace , with the request to all interested parties to add a vocal track to the piece and send it back to the band. In this way they found Karl Schubach, who from now on took over the part as singer. With him the second album, Mirrors , was recorded. This successful record was followed by several tours that led through the United States as well as to Europe and Asia, which were completed together with bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan , Strapping Young Lad and All That Remains .
