Eel Dieter

Aale-Dieter , bourgeois Dieter Bruhn , (born January 21, 1939 in Hamburg ) is a German fishmonger .

Aale-Dieter has been selling fish at the weekly Hamburg fish market in the Altona district since June 1959 - especially eels and salmon - and was described in the media as "known throughout Germany" and the main reason for many visitors to visit the fish market. The promotion of his eels always attracted a large audience. For larger purchases there was an eel as an encore .

In 1989 he was voted one of the ten best salespeople in Germany by Manager Magazin and was later listed by this magazine as an example of successful sales strategies.

Bruhn has a classical vocal training and in 2004 released a CD with hits called What can a person dream of? .
