Aaron Osmond (* in Provo , Utah ) is an American politician ( Republican Party ).

Life

Aaron Osmond grew up as the eldest son of Virl Osmond, a brother of the musicians known as The Osmonds , in Provo. He attended Timpview High School there . After finishing school, he served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rome , Italy for two years . Back in Utah, he started working for WordPerfect Corporation , and after it was acquired by Novell , he worked for Novell. In addition to his work at Novell, he studied at the University of Phoenix and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management . Osmond later switched to Microsoft . He returned to Utah in 2006 and was CEO of Real Estate Investor Education, LLC , a small real estate company , for nearly six years . In April 2012, he moved to Certiport and became Vice President of the North America Business Unit in American Fork .

On March 31, 2011 he was elected to the Utah Senate for District 10 . He filled the vacant seat of Chris Buttars , who had resigned his mandate for health reasons . His inauguration took place in April 2011. Osmond was re-elected in November 2012, this time for a regular four-year term.

Osmond is married and has five children. He lives with his family in South Jordan .
