Demolition cutter
A demolition cutter (also Abbruchschere , concrete crusher or concrete cutter ) is a demolition tool for reinforced concrete parts of buildings without the use of explosives to destroy. It is usually made of solid, specially hardened steel and is operated on an excavator .
The demolition claw breaks the concrete of the reinforced concrete components using high, hydraulically generated pressure, which is provided by the excavator via pipes. In addition to the teeth, the demolition pliers also have a cutting edge for later cutting through the steel reinforcement. The shape of the demolition pliers is reminiscent of the arrangement of the incisors in the jaws of rodents.
Demolition tongs are available in different sizes and shapes, depending on the task, typical demolition tongs (like the one shown on the right in the picture) for 25 t excavators weigh a good 2 t and develop about 2 MN breaking force on the blades at an operating pressure of 310 bar.

Another option (when working at low heights) is to first knock the steel parts free with a hydraulic hammer. These steel parts are then cut into transportable parts with the cutting edges of hydraulic concrete tongs or a hydraulic pulverizer.
