Abdel-Rahman Mahdi
Abdel-Rahman Mahdi († August 27, 2015 near Ramadi ) was an Iraqi major general and deputy headed the military operations in al-Anbar .
Mahdi died on August 27, 2015 in an attack by the Islamic State in the al-Juraishi region to the north of Ramadi, the capital of al-Anbar Governorate . Four of his bodyguards were among the dead.
